About The Happy Daffodil
Our Mission
At The Happy Daffodil, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission is to spread joy and compassion through the art of flower repurposing. We transform donated flowers into beautiful bouquets for cancer and hospice patients, and seniors in care facilities, providing unexpected joy and creating a meaningful connection that uplifts their spirits.

how it works
Flower Collection
We partner with local farmers, florists, and event coordinators to collect surplus flowers from weddings, parties, and other celebrations. We make sure to gather only the freshest, most vibrant blooms to create stunning arrangements.
Arranging Bouquets
Our team of volunteers and flower enthusiasts arranges the donated flowers into beautiful, hand-crafted bouquets. We take pride in designing each bouquet with care, ensuring it’s a vibrant and uplifting gift that will brighten the recipient's space.
Delivery to Recipients
Once the bouquets are ready, we deliver them to local nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, hospice facilities, and other care centers. We specifically focus on delivering to individuals who could use a little extra cheer—whether they’re going through recovery, battling illness, or just need a bright reminder of happiness.
Community Involvement
Our local volunteers play a vital role in this process by helping with flower collection, bouquet arranging, and delivery. By working together, we create a network of care and compassion, spreading happiness throughout our community.

Looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity? Whether you're a group of friends, homeschoolers, book club, garden club, church group, Girl Scout troop, or a company team building, we have the perfect opportunity for you. Even families can come together to make and/or deliver bouquets, and make a difference.
WAYS TO HELP:
- We need drivers to pick up floral donations, pick up vases, deliver bouquets to care facilities, and retrieve vases.
- Join us in arranging beautiful bouquets--no experience required :) It's creative, therapeutic, and fun!
- Hand out bouquets and visit with seniors--it's incredibly gratifying and heartwarming. It takes so little to make someone's day, especially if that someone is a lonely or convalescing senior.
